The Hebridean Whisky Adventure Challenge 2026 blends the raw adrenaline of the Scottish outdoors with the refined spirit of our world-class distilleries. Whether you’re hiking, kayaking, windsurfing, or racing across the islands, a well-earned dram—and the spirit of the Isles—awaits you at every finish line.
The 2026 Adventure Calendar
From May through September, the islands become your playground. Choose your challenge or aim to complete the whole trail. For selected activities, tickets may be required.
Dùn Cana Summit Hike
1 May – 12 Sept | Isle of Raasay Distillery
Hike to the summit of Dùn Cana. Capture a selfie at the top and present it at the distillery for a complimentary dram. Limit one per person.
Loch Kayaking – POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER

Due to the wind forecast the Kayak event suppliers have cancelled the upcoming event on Friday. We are looking at alternative options and will let you know as soon as we have a plan.
Hosted in partnership with South Skye Sea Kayak, this experience is an opportunity to take to the water and experience the rugged coastline around the shores of Loch Harport. As you paddle along the Loch in a double kayak you will experience unique views of Talisker and the surrounding landscape that will leave you with special memories that will last a lifetime.
You will be guided by a fully qualified and experienced sea kayak guide who will provide a little coaching to get you going and make most of your session. This experience is perfect for people of all abilities who want to try something new.
The experience culminates back on dry land where one of our experienced hosts will take you through a tasting of specially selected Talisker drams inspired by the landscape around you.
Eilean Glas Lighthouse Hike
1 – 31 July | Isle of Harris Distillery
From 1 July, Isle of Harris Distillery will be running their challenge to Eilean Glas Light house. Grab a snap/selfie and remember to tag @harrisdistillers and @hebrideanwhisky and #whiskyadventure2026 to receive your free dram at the distillery.
Tobermory Lighthouse Hike
11 & 12 July | Tobermory Distillery
Trek out to the iconic Tobermory Lighthouse. Show us your selfie at the distillery to claim your dram.
Wind, Waves & Whisky (Windsurfing)
24 & 25 July | Isle of Tiree Distillery
A thrilling windsurfing adventure celebrating the “Hawaii of the North,” ending with a dram at the distillery. Booking info coming soon.
Ben Kenneth Hill Race
2 August | Benbecula Distillery
Test your fitness whilst taking in the spectacular panoramic views during this iconic island hill race. All competitors will receive a drinks voucher that can be redeemed at the Benbecula Distillery Visitor Centre.
Whisky & Wildlife Cruise
7 August | North Uist Distillery
