Whisky and Golf Pairings

Discover stunning Hebridean landscapes while enjoying two of life’s finest pleasures, whisky and golf.

The Hebridean Whisky Trail is undoubtedly one of the most scenic whisky trails in the world, and the surrounding landscape is largely unpopulated. Scenic vistas and plenty of land provide some exquisite golf courses, and we are pleased to share with you the closest golf courses to each of our distilleries.

Destination: Skye

With breathtaking vistas of Raasay and the legendary Old Man of Storr, the Isle of Skye Golf Club might just be the most picturesque place in the country to practise your swing. Located at Sconser, it’s just a 35 minute drive to Torabhaig Distillery, only a 20 minute drive to Talisker, or a 25 minute ferry ride to the Isle of Raasay Distillery.

Destination: Harris

The Isle of Harris Golf Club is located in Scarista on the west coast of Harris, often described as one of the world’s finest settings for the game of golf. Overlooking the turquoise waters and white sands of Scarista Beach, it’s easy to see why. Scarista is just a half hour drive from the Isle of Harris Distillery, along the spectacular west coast drive.

Destination: Benbecula

Benbecula Golf Course is a naturally flat course. As a result of its good condition, it is a popular haunt for visiting golfers who are seeking a game in slightly different surroundings. Our course is maintained by the members and has a short back and sides more regularly than any other course! Located just 5 minutes from North Uist Distillery and nearby Benbecula Distillery.

Destination: Jura

Ardfin’s course is the result of herculean effort. It was designed and built over six years by legendary golf architect, Bob Harrison. He believes golf courses should look as natural and as spectacular as possible, a goal he has excelled at with Ardfin. No stone was left unturned in an effort to find the best configuration and the greatest number of inspiring holes to play. Ardfin is only a 10 minute drive from Jura.

Wherever your journey takes you, we hope you enjoy the scenery and challenge of playing golf in the Hebrides, and lift a glass at the end of each day.
