Self catering. The cottage was built about 100 years ago and has a fine outlook down to Loch Harport and the Red Cuillins. It has been comfortably modernised while retaining its traditional character. Open fires, electric heating and double glazing ensure that you will be cosy. The large old school room has been equipped with table tennis, darts and other games and the furniture in there is fairly old so it is a great place for children and adults to let off steam on wet days. It makes an ideal walking and climbing centre being about 8 miles from both Sligachan and Glenbrittle. The pool below a spectacular nearby waterfall is much enjoyed by some as a swimming pool. The cottage is situated on its own about half a mile above Carbost village, well-known for the Talisker Distillery. There is an inn (very popular for bar meals), a post office and a small shop.
