In a spectacular and isolated position close under the Black Cuillin ridge this unique old shepherd’s cottage is ideally situated for climbing and walking and for exploring the rest of Skye. Sheep sit on the doorstep and a lovely burn runs close by. It has been comfortably modernised while retaining its traditional character, including open fires. Electric heating and double glazing throughout ensure that you will be cosy. The cottage is up a rough but driveable track about half a mile from the Sligachan Hotel which is within easy walking distance. This has a wet weather centre with a bar serving food all day, Outside it is an adventure playground. There is also a restaurant. The nearest shopping centre is Portree, about 10 miles north.
